This is the early NFL line based on statistical
analysis of the performance factors of the
teams, the starting point spread line for all
games. The Outlaw Line, or the NFL early line, is
then often passed on to major sportsbooks or betters who
may book bets based on the NFL Outlaw line, or the early
line. The Outlaw line is then adjusted by the oddsmakers to reflect betting action
on the game, adding or subtracting points as needed to
balance the load of actual or anticipated betting
action.
The DoverPro Outlaw Line is based on NFL power
rankings for each team in a computer generated
statistical matrix which generates a probability factor
for over 50 game variables. The result is a
projected matchup analysis
which provides a calculated score for each game and
establishes the point spread and total points expected
to be scored. It is a raw number, not adjusted for
injuries or weather.Typically the
Outlaw Line is then adjusted by the sportsbooks for betting action, and
also adjusted to balance the betting load. Then
further adjustments may be
made for injuries or weather, or other
known factors. And also sometimes for unknown factors.
After all this is complete, the NFL football bettlng
line, or Vegas line, is then released to the public.
The DoverPro Outlaw line is computed Sunday
nights based on NFL Team Action and released
then for private circulation with an update for the
Monday Night games.
The NFL Outlaw Line is also released to the
general public each week, usually on Wednesday at
Noon ET, and provides a comparison to the Vegas
pointspread line. The DoverPro Outlaw line is made
available to the public for informational purposes only.
